In class, we are reading a book called ” Rain Man.” This book is a story about two brothers and their relationship with their father and with each other. After the father dies, both brothers are given items from his will. However, one brother receives a car while the other brother receives a lot of money. How do you feel about this situation? I think Charlie have a right to receive father’s money because he is son even if he ran away from father’s house. If Charlie doesn’t get a money, he will be angry and steal Raymon’s money and their relationship will destroy.

I agree that Charlie’s father gave all his money to Raymond because if Charlie gets the money he doesn’t care about his brother. Charlie is a very cold-hearted person. He is interested in his brother although he wants to get his father’s money so I hope they become real brothers finally.

I think that Charlie does not deserve the money because he has ignored his father for almost the last 10 years. But I don’t know yet if Raymond deserved it either because I actually don’t know what was the relation between his father and him. But it could be worst that Charlie’s one!!
Often money ruins relationships in families after a parent dies. Especially when there is a lot of money to bequeath.

I think It is not fare because they are both brother but sometimes people see their back grounds. In this book, Charlie refused to be his son before his father dead. After his father dead, suddenly Charly wants to be back because of the money.
It’s sounds like greedy.
People who has good relationship to other person can be in a big trouble sometimes. Allmost reasons are about money. If someone borrow some money from someone’s best friend, The person had better to return it immidiately. If not, Their relationship would be broken.
Because people always think about how do I feel good in their life. Good life need some money. Not much but it is nessesary.

I think she is a good artist because I couldn’t draw like her when I was 4 years old. I think she constructs her art in her head, and then she starts to draw a picture. Her arts are moving my mind, but I don’t think that I want to buy her arts for over $20,000.00! It depends on your art sense whether you buy her arts or not. I think good artwork will make you happy and move your mind.

I do not think her paints are so valuable because I am not attracted by this kind of latest arts. I did not understand even Picasso’s arts before I realized that He can also draw ordinary pictures. I think It depends on person but at least, She has a rare skill in painting. She has been getting plenty of effect from her parents. I think if many kids was in her circumstance, They would be like her.

This type of art is strange as well. It seems that anyone can make this type of art. There is no real skill with lines or pictures.

I think that she is very talented to draw pictures. She knows how to use drawing tools, but when I was young I didn’t know even how to draw person. However, she was very young. I think when kids sometimes draw a picture, maybe they will imitate their parent’s picture or just draw without meaning. I believe an art should have an artist’s mind seriously. Therefore, I think the young girl’s pictures are not nearly as valuable as $20,000.00.

I think she is just as creative as every 4 years old child. The fact is her parents give her materials and possibilities to explore her creativity. Her father said in the interview that she is painting with an innocent eye. Actually at that age most children have innocents eyes.
For sure I would not pay 20 000$ for her paintings. My niece makes some for me and for free!!!
Seriously, I don’t know who defines or classifies things as ‘art ‘, but I think that it is very individual. Everyone is able to define what they like or what they consider to be an artwork. The purpose of artwork is to gives emotions and consciousness. So, if you can find those feelings looking at a garbage can, this is personal.

Excellent post, Corine. I think most 4 year-olds have the same creativity! The parents may also have influenced her as well. I also agree that art is individual, but I think that art should have some kind of skill attached to it. ‘Abstract’ art is hard to clasify as art because there are no rules, guides or levels of measuring.

In Japan there are many festivals. For example, Sanjyamatsuri is the most popular festival in Tokyo. Japanese people carry portable shrine and hold a parade. They believe that god will make their town peacefully after hold a parade. Do you want to go this festival?

I like this kind of music. I sued to listen those kind of music everyday when I was a child. I’m on intimate them. I’m so impressed by Four Chords of Wood’s high performance skills and funny execution.
In Japan, we have lots of festivals and every part of Japan have own festival.
On of the famous festival is NEPUTA. There are many huge poertable shrines whici is made by paper and there is lights inside. It is said that getting up those portable shrines together will get rid of any kind of misfortune.
I really want to go to UFO festival. I want to see aliens and also take a picture with them. I intend to know why and who started the funny festival????

I am interested in their songs, because their songs have a swinging rhythm. The songs make me happy. Especially, I like Rick Fines and Suzie Vinnick’s song. Suzie’s voice is very beautiful and lovely. I felt comfortable and relaxed when I listened to her voice.
I like music festivals, so I would like to go to Folk on the Rocks(http://folkontherocks.com/) and Dawson City Music Festival(http://www.dcmf.com/).
I really wanted to go to La Tomatina for a long time and now I still want to go to there . It looks so free. I want to relieve stress in there. I really wonder about how to clean the place after the festival.
In Korea, there are many festivals. Specially, Boryeong Mud Festival is one of the most famous festivals in Korea. It happens on Daechon beach in Boryong every summer. In this place, people play in the mud and apply the mud over their skin. It looks so funny. The mud in the place is very good for our skin.

I am looking forward to reading this book, because I like romance. However, I am confusing about relationship so far. There are too many couples in the story. I also didn’t know each character, so I can’t choose who is my favorite character.
I like the movie called “Taiyo-no uta”. This is my favorite Japanese movie.
One girl who has illness fall in love with a man. She can’t go out before dark. If she lets the sun in her body, she will have a skin cancer. So she didn’t tell her love to him, but they loved each other. This story is finished as sad ending, but I felt my heart became warm. I recommend to you that you should watch this movie!!

I think we just read character’s introduction in the book. The book consists of some stories, so I look forward to read the people’s stories in our class. I am interested in a guy who is a prime minster. This is because I wonder how to love someone during he is working. It will be hard because all people will be concerned about his girlfreind. I think maybe he should hide his love. In Korea, there are many love stories. Especially, there are a lot of love stories about a family’s relationship. This is because in the past time, our grandparents experienced the Korean war and many wars. In that time, most of them lost their parents, sisters, and brothers, so we have many sad stories about family’s relationships.

I saw few time the movie “Love Actually”. I like it so much and I also like the characters. My favorite one is the Prime Minister, for he is amusing. I appreciate when he talks about the airport, so how people are felling blessed when they see each others. It is true that love is actually everywhere. Not only between a man and a woman, yet we see in that book love between friends and between family members.
There is a famous love story in Quebec. It’s between Emilie and Ovila. It is a true love story. Thers is trhee books about their story and they made a TV show. It is about a young rural teacher who is in love with a young man who he is actually her neigboorgh. It is a sad ending love story.

It is little bit complicated for me. Because there are many characters and stories. I am interested in Jamie’s story. I really want to know what will happen after that. I think It would be in a big trouble.
I do not find popular love story in Japan, but I think many Japanese stories are simple love. One of famous old love story is ‘ a high school teacher’ which is love story between a high school teacher and his student. When their love came out to the other people in the school, They got a big trouble. In the end of the story, They might die. No one knows if they dead or only slept at the moment because there is no information in the story. However, I think They decided double suicide.

This is a relay bicycle race from Haines Junction to Haines, Alaska. It is 238.3 km race. People make a team from two to eigth riders, but they also can do the race in solo. When riders arrive at Haines, they can camp in the park near downtown.
I never been to a race before. I do like sport that I compete with myself. I am individual in the sports I practice. Such as skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, and recently climbing.
I am from Quebec, so hockey is deeply present. However, the town I am from, the basketball is very important. We have good competitives teams at higschool and every kids want to be a part of the basketball teams.

Hockey and Quebec = a very strong link! Would you consider doing the Haines Bike Race next year? There are 8 parts to the race. The 7th part is the easiest. It would be a good part if you want to try a group race! I also like individual sports. That is why I swam for many years. Sometimes if you have teammates, they can annoy you or make it more difficult to win! ( Or..they do all the work!)

KCIBR is bike race from Haines Junction to Haines, Alaska. I don’t think I will try this race, but I want to cheer them. Last weekend, I saw a group who has paint on their naked body and ride a bike. They waved their hands to me!!!
Soccer is famous sport in Korea. When World Cup hold in Korea, my family and friend were wildly excited!! I saw the game at public square. There were so many people that I couldn’t move . I think Korean national team in 2002 were the best team so far.

This is a bicycle race from Haines junction to Haines, Alaska. Any person and teams which consists of 2~8persons can apply. They will through the border. I have never seen this kind of huge race. There are also many bicycle races in Japan which usually my father is participate in. However, I think those are not as big as KCIBR.
In Japan, university marason race is one of the most famous race. We usually watch the race on New year. It takes so long time, we just watch it and expect which university is this year’s winner. However, I do not like watch this because too long and a bit boring.

The KCIBR means Kluane Chilkat Internation Bike Relay. This event will happen from Haines Junction, Yukon to Haines, Alaska. When I was high school student, I tried to join a running race that was just race for enjoying. However, I didn’t join because it looked so hard.
In Korea, soccer and baseball are very popular, but baseball is more popular than soccer. My hometown’s team is the best team! We always win! When the baseball game season is comming, many people buy tickets. In the baseball play stadium, all people cheer their teams enthusiastically. However, I don’t like the baseball game. I like basketball games!

Even if it’s disgusting, I’ll probably try it if I’m going to Dawson. Captain Dick Stevenson created that drink, after he found a dead toe in an alcohol jar.
Actually I did a bet with a friend of mine who is going to Iceland. She is going to Iceland this summer, and If she try the Rotten Shark there, I’ll try the Sourtoe cocktail.
The Rotten shark is a food from Iceland. Sharks are preserved with a particular fermentation process for four or five months.

In Quebec there is a disgusting meal, who is Pork Tongue. When a butcher butches a pork, he keeps the tongue and put it in a jar with vinegar. After the tongue has marinated few days, people eat it, often with a beer. I never ate a pork tongue tough, and never I will!

I am live in Indid at A.P. state of Hyderab. The city is having 400 Years of history.Mostely Nowab people were rouled . CHARMINAR, slarjunig musem, Golconda fort Public garden, Makha musgid and Osmonia university arts colege are most famous things in the city.
